01 / The challenge
What needed to move.
The challenge was not creating a new identity. Down to Earth already had its own brand and personality. The immediate need was a useful digital home that could introduce the store, give customers a feel for the business, and create a stronger place to send people online.
The first phase needed to be simple, visual, and useful now, while leaving room for the larger commerce experience planned next.
02 / The thinking
Make the next step obvious.
Rather than pretending the first phase needed to do everything, the experience was kept focused. Photography carries the personality of the store. The structure gives visitors the important information quickly and creates a clear path into the business.
The goal was to give Down to Earth a polished place to land now, then build from that foundation when the commerce experience is ready.
03 / The build
Strategy into something useful.
Northbound handled the digital strategy, page structure, design, development, content presentation, and responsive experience for the landing page.
The current page is the first phase. A fuller commerce site is in development and will expand the experience beyond the landing page when it is ready to launch.
